Here is why all eyes are on Michaela Vybohova

Michaela Vybohova’s career launched by accident,  She was discovered when a friend took her “as support” to a model search casting call. 

After the event, Michaela said she felt so guilty but her friend showed full support, prompting her to pursue the career and see where the journey takes them both even if different directions.

Subtle beginnings…

Michaela started designing at an early age. When she was a 14-year-old girl she owned an eBay shop where she sold swimsuits ordered from Alibaba.

But these were no ordinary swimsuits. Michaela customized these suits by tweaking their designs and adding jewellery. Once the designs were done she sold her unique wears through her eBay shop. 

Apart from swimsuits, Michaela always had an eye out for shoes. People watching was her favorite sport as she said, she watched women try on shoes in stores. After a while observing these women, something struck Michaela- Once these women found the right pair of shoes their whole mood changed.

Michaela longed to become someone who could change a person’s mood the way a right pair of shoes did for those women.

Staying competitive…

The fashion industry is one of the fiercest industries to venture. Staying relevant in the market means you have to be in a constant state of self-improvement.

Before she set out on her modelling career,  Michaela spent a couple of years learning the ropes.  This helped her a lot when she started work as a model for designers- she learned a lot from these individuals before building her fashion company-  Michaela V footwear.

Sturdy foundations…

Building a business from scratch isn’t an easy task for anyone- so many unexpected obstacles will come your way. Michaela faced problems every new business faces.

One of early business issue Michaela faced was problems with Customs.  Her first round of samples got seized by the Italian customs due to incorrect licensing. She also had challenges with funds- no one was willing to take on a low budget newcomer.

Most of the problems she faced when starting the firm were enough for her to call it quits. But she didn’t Give up. Michaela believed that there was always a way around every problem, no matter how tough it was.

Hard work and consistency were major factors that would contribute to her success.

 A window of opportunity came for Michaela when a friend of hers, who was working with Pauline Ducruet on a charity event, mentioned her name and brand in a conversation with the Princess.

Michaela received a call from her friend one day informing her that the Princess asked for a shoe sample in her size- she taught this was a prank set up by her friend and replied with a joke,  then she hung up.

Her phone rang several times that day until she found out that the whole thing wasn’t a cruel plan but was actually the real deal.

The present

Michaela has proved that with the right motives and enough hard work you can make your dreams come through.

 Now she is the CEO of a footwear company that brings smiles to women’s faces around the world.

How Chris Berlow Can Train His Mind to Not Only Stay Positive in the Face of Adversity but Be Successful in Multiple Aspects of Life

On one hand, everyone has something they have achieved in life, then on the other, there are those who are still striving hard to achieve. Christopher Berlow, a 7th-Degree Black Belt holder in taekwondo, lives in Mohegan Lake in New York and is more than what meets the eye. Being a co-owner of Empowered Mastery, he is also a national medalist, a philanthropist, a real estate investor, a Taekwondo Grandmaster and an instructor with more than thirty-five years of experience, and a celebrated author. In partnership with the martial arts organization, they have raised more than $300,000 for Leukemia and Lymphoma societies and other charities. Berlow explains to us how he has been able to live a real-life and how he has managed to become successful in multiple aspects of life.

Work-Life Balance

Berlow makes us understand that success is just not about money-making. He knows he is successful not only by the million dollars he has been making but by knowing that he is physically fit, he is happy, loves what he does, has a great relationship with his family, all that combined is what he knows is a success. In the outside world, most people focus on making money but they forget about these most important things. People open businesses, become very successful, but forget about their families, their health, and stuff like that. They lack Work-life balance, which is a condition most people have but are unaware.

Berlow makes sure he is the best example for people around him. For every area of life, he makes sure he has a good relationship with everyone, so he can get good results for all that he has designed to do. Also, having a schedule for the tasks he must complete daily has helped him stay focused on the essential areas of his life. That is how he has been able to balance himself with everything around him without abandoning any area.

Having a Broad Mindset and Being Consistent with Your Practices

A right mindset and consistency are all you need to help yourself set up for success in whichever area you are interested in. Berlow learned how to protect the mindset by freeing himself from distractions at any time, which also leads to time-blocking. Mindset protection has helped Berlow plan his time because whenever he is doing something at a specific time, he cannot do anything else apart from that what he has planned to do. These are Berlow’s ways of always remaining focused on whatever he does.

Most business people always want to achieve more, to be successful in everything they do, but Berlow has specific things that drive him to be successful and to achieve more than most people have achieved. Things that make him look forward to meeting more each day. Being passionate about what he is doing, having a purpose for what he is doing, have fun in whatever he is doing, and if it’s not fun, he makes it fun himself. Whatever he is doing, he does it, not only to better himself but for society too. It’s just not about himself. Based on the values that he teaches, he also learns, because to him, success also includes being comfortable with whatever one is doing. The fact that he also faces challenges, he finds ways to overcome the obstacles, which makes it even more exciting.  

Exercising Power over Mind

For you to be able to control your thoughts, you have to give credit to yourself for the things you have been able to achieve. Always let your mind see and appreciate what you have made in the past. That way, whenever obstacles become a threat, you can handle them positively. Berlow has been able to appreciate himself for the things he has done, and that is how he has been successful and remained positive. Also, being able to re-visualize his past life, so he can feel the way he felt in the past when he achieved something has been a significant contribution in remaining positive because it helps him feel empowered.

Meet Anton Ortigas; ​one of 2019s top travel photography artist.

Anton lives in the corporate world; he breathes the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle. He seems like your average yuppie: finished his MBA, works a day job, dabbles in photography… if only they were that. Instead his Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship from Ateneo GSB is put to good use daily in his many roles: first, as one of the youngest Country Managers of an international company, second, as an owner of an f&b franchisor, and third, as a globetrotting Instagram influencer.

Anton is behind Cotecna Elite Philippines Inc., a leading third-party audit, training, testing, inspection, and certification (ATTIC) global provider dedicated to developing and employing Filipinos in different provinces so they can provide local companies with world-class assurance services. With a bustling professional workforce of more than 300 employees in the Philippines, Anton has certainly carved himself a top spot in a niche industry, and yet despite his success, you can still see him in action, always in pursuit of bettering himself and others around him. This is why they recently launched their capacity-building initiative The Cotecna Institute, a training facility providing technical and vocational education to further professionalize the industry. It also provides leadership and skills enhancement seminars available to the youth in partnership with various government agencies.

His passion for empowering people goes beyond the confines of skyscrapers and traffic jams, and this is seen in We The People Coffee and Tea Company, a homegrown farm-to-palate coffee shop with three branches in Manila that serves handcrafted specialty coffee made from locally sourced and roasted beans. It also features curated products from students and budding entrepreneurs, as well as art pieces from illustrators, writers, and photographers from metro south, including his pieces from his internet-famous IG @antonorts, with over 90,000 followers and counting. There you can see his travels around the globe, captured in their wonder with Anton’s unique take on lines, shapes, and colors. When asked how he can manage to find time to take such beautiful photos in his busy life, he answers: “Social media provides an escape – a means to find inspiration and breathing spaces in other realities.” It’s no wonder that he takes such poignant and inspired images.

How did you make a name for yourself in your industry?

By taking photos of unique things, creating moments through everyday life experiences

What obstacles did you face to get to where you are now? 

I was young when I started managing our family business. It was hard to improve our corporate culture in the beginning because more senior employees did not listen and were resistant to change.

How did you overcome these obstacles?

Lead by example and worked hard to get more clients. I implemented programs within the company that empowered our employees to make decisions and lead their teams independently. This infused in them a feeling of ownership and it leads to positive growth and unity amongst each other.
