How The Youngest Airbnb Guru Was Able To Net $100,000 USD In A Week
I was able to sit down and talk with Braydon Ross who is the CEO and Founder of multiple start-ups in the tech and real estate space, where he works to benefit the trend of a sharing economy by partnering, leveraging and innovating on the ever-growing space of SAAS based services and Airbnb real estate.
We talked about success and here is what he had to say:
When was the first time you tasted success Braydon?
It all began with my TV streaming business called “Rossbox”, which would solve a massive problem by allowing users to reduce their cable bill by using this “one time fee” device that would revolutionize the way people streamed their favourite TV series and movies from anywhere at any time.
Starting in June 2016 I spent the summer months where I walked away from a temporary bar managing job that was supposed to suffice my income needs until I was ready to go back into my last year of business school that following fall. I decided on July 1st, 2016 that this “Rossbox” idea was something I was going to take on full speed ahead.
Fast forward into my first three months in business, and business was booming. I was leveraging the local community Facebook group to spread the word about this revolutionary product as I knew Langdon was full of couples raising a family which was perfect for the product I was trying to sell. Families are always trying to cut down on expenses and this allowed them to watch any on demand show or movie without paying hundreds of dollars a month.
IT WAS PERFECT!
That September my first car died on me, which was a 2006 Blue Kia Rio (I still miss that car). I used the savings I had made to purchase a brand new 2016 Scion FR-S all on my income I had earned through Rossbox. I knew with the winter months coming and me wanting to expand out of Langdon a good car was definitely necessary.
BUT WAIT… I should have mentioned that my first month in business I only made $850 because I would leverage the comments people made on my Facebook groups and reach out to them personally to offer a FREE demo. I would literally drive around and even bike around with a backpack full of these “Rossbox’s” and spend Monday – Sunday doing free demo’s in the community to people interested in the product.
I leveraged the buyers I had by building a referral-based system for every 5 people who bought they got a free box and an upgraded keypad remote. Before I knew it, Rossbox had taken over half of Langdon, Chestermere and parts of Calgary!
Now Rossbox has transformed into a fully subscription-based business where users receive a much more higher performing box with 4K capabilities and remote access from the support team for instant solutions to any problems that may arise.
Now to take business to the next level as Tai Lopez puts it “Stop being the foot soldier and become the general”.
So, I did just that!
I built a fully functioning affiliate system as of April 2018 where affiliates would use their own network of people and earn a commission based off of the sale, they made for Rossbox.
PHEW! I am sure that was a lot to read but it is how I was led into my next business!
I made my second biggest purchase 6 months after starting Rossbox in January of 2017 where I bought a 1 bedroom 1 bath condo in a nice community in downtown Calgary. The lightbulb went off once again! I had been hearing a lot about this Airbnb thing people were using and did my research. The idea of listing my unit on Airbnb during summer months was genius as it would pay for the mortgage payments and afford me to travel so most of my travel expenses would be free.
Well that was quite a smart plan to rent out your unit! So, why do you want to be successful?
Success gives me a choice to live my greatest life by having a powerful voice of reason that people listen to when you have proven success. My ultimate vision of myself is being able to impact the current education system into a more current, instant and practical experience for those wanting to expand their education.
What’s your end goal with all of this?
If you are going into entrepreneurship and looking for an end goal you are in the wrong industry and should like reform back to the 9-5 as your end goal could be drawn out. On a whiteboard.
I don’t have an end goal I truly cherish the dash in-between my birth year and my final day. I live to innovate, problem solve and enhance people’s lives. As an entrepreneur it never ends, and that’s what keeps me motivated.

5 Things Photographers Need to Know By Jaime Flores
Jaime Flores is a photographer based in the Pacific Northwest (PNW). He is best known for his portraits but also does a variety of different types of photography. In just a span of a year, he grew his two instagram accounts to have 10x more followers than he had we started. Before photography, Jaime was going to college with no real idea of what he wanted to do for a career. After receiving his Associate’s degree with an emphasis in business, Jaime decided not to continue school and look for something new to pursue in life. He bought his first camera in April of 2018 and quickly gained the knowledge needed in order to be commercially successful in his hometown.
At first his focus was only portraits but later on he began doing product photography, events, landscapes and more. In May of 2019 he started his own Media company called Digital Trends Media. The company provides photography, videography, graphic design, and social media management services. Jaime hopes to inspire and help others find skills that are needed in today’s world driven by social media.
1. Carry your camera at all times
It’s actually really important to always have your camera with you. Pretty often, people get curious and will ask you: “Are you a photographer?” or “What kind of camera do you have?”. Use that as a chance to show them your work and/or hand them a business card (you should always have some). Take your camera everywhere you go and learn to take candid photos of people out in the city, take pictures of your food/drinks, take pictures of nature, etc. This seems pointless but people are willing to buy print versions of those types of photography. Expand your skillset beyond portraits.
2. Leverage your personality
Don’t rely solely on your work to catch the attention of potential clients. Your work will only get you so far but you have to be willing to put your personality out there as well. If you take a look at some of the most successful and well known photographers, you’ll notice that they not only take amazing pictures but they also have huge personalities. People love to see what the person behind the camera is like.
3. Make your photography stand out
Editing is crucial, spend lots of time learning new editing techniques. Also, when shooting portraits, take your time and really analyze backgrounds. Take pictures from numerous angles to give your pictures unique perspectives. Combine a unique editing style with new angles/ideas, and you will gain popularity.
4. Youtube is your best friend
A question I get asked all the time is: “How can I get better at taking pictures?” My answer is always Youtube and practice. Of course you can pay to attend seminars and pay for online photography courses, but to me that’s all unnecessary. All the information you need can be found on YouTube for FREE. At least that’s how I learned everything I know.
5. Cameras don’t do the work for you
A common misconception that people tend to have is that having a good camera is all it takes to be a good photographer. Nowadays an iPhone camera is the best camera to use as a beginner. Anyone can buy the most expensive camera but it takes knowledge about camera settings in order to take the best pictures, as well as good editing skills.

In most cases, success doesn’t happen overnight, and this was definitely the case for the Connecticut trio, they attribute their success to creating a clear set of game rules for their users, implementing strong branding techniques, and utilizing social media to build brand awareness and outreach. “We were three kids from a farming town in Connecticut. We had an idea and we were able to make it come to life, and now we’re being played in over 500 gym classes across the world. You can also find their products in some of the world’s top retail stores like Walmart, Target, Academy Sports and Outdoors, Amazon, and many more.
Meade enjoys the life that entrepreneurship has awarded him. Since the business has taken off, he’s able to reclaim his time, energy, and life back. When asked how has entrepreneurship improved his life, he had this to say: “I have more flexibility! “Nothing is worse than going to a job everyday and working for somebody to improve their business. Everyday I wake up and ‘think how do I improve my business?’ Which is a direct impact on my life and the life that I live.”
Changing the Game of Outdoor Sports
Meade is proud of the success and attention that the CrossNet game has gained since it’s release in June 2017, he also mentions that the sports industry has plenty room for innovation, yet, despite the passing of time, the industry lacks fresh innovation, until now! “The outdoor game and sports market is a very boring industry, and I mean that in the sense that no innovative outdoor game products really came out to the market. Our parents and their friends have been playing corn hold, Frisbee, and basketball outside for the last 100 years. There’s only so many times [that a new outdoor game is developed] and becomes a game changer, and we’ve brought in a four-way volleyball net, four-square combined, and a new game of CrossNet.”
CrossNet Brings Value to Players
CrossNet is a unique game that brings value to anyone who is willing to take part in the sport. Families can enjoy this game at a picnic, or at the beach. As a piece of advice to young aspiring entrepreneurs, he says “Have a concrete idea and run it by your peers. Don’t give up! It’s been over two years in the making and we went from a company that celebrated one sale a day, to now making the news in Minnesota were sport anchors are taking our game out of the box and showing the entire state of Minnesota.”

“Connections Are a Currency” How 18 Year Old Brooks Crevoiserat Built a Business by Building a Network With Rappers and Athletes
As time goes on we are starting to see a lot more younger entrepreneurs dominating the business world and Brooks Crevoiserat is one of them. I had the opportunity to ask him some questions about success, failure, and hardships he’s had to face during his journey through entrepreneurship. As a kid Brooks always loved shoes, but after a while he wanted to be able to buy them without the help of his parents. In order to do that he had to go to shoe releases and buy multiple pairs. This allowed him to sell all the pairs, make money, and keep one for himself, and repeat this process. Being from Los Angeles, he played basketball at Sierra Canyon a top 10 basketball school in the nation, it helped Brooks make a lot of connections to athletes and rappers. After building his network he now is able to sell to rappers such as Gunna, Roddy rich, Sheck Wes and Don Toliver.
Defining Success For Yourself
Whether or not you’re a entrepreneur, defining what success means to you is an important part of defining yourself as an individual. This is especially important because other people, or society in general, will be more than happy to impose their ideas of success on you. Being able to define success for yourself is how you will become successful. From identifying what fulfills you most, and then allowing those things to influence your daily work and future career decisions. According to Brooks, success is when you have reached a point of happiness in your life because you are content with what you do. He has been able to accomplish so much in such a short period of time that he considers himself to be successful where he is at in his life.
Staying Motivated, Focused and Proactive
Brooks notes that he keeps himself motivated by telling himself to keep working harder every day because the harder he works, the more he will achieve in life. He says that selling sneakers has taught himself a ton of lessons about hard work, and even fear.
Fear is just a negative thought put upon you to slow you down, but I try to never allow fear to get the best of me in any form. Connections Are a Currency
Building a network is probably one of the most important life lessons anyone could teach. Connections are a currency and the more connections you make, the more you are worth says Brooks. Building a strong network of contacts can take you anywhere. It takes patience, some personal qualities, getting out of your comfort zone and feeling some discomfort, improving your confidence, and more. But once you get the hang of it, you can become a better communicator and use your free time and social life to take your business to the next level.
