Meet Sam Jacobs, 18-Year-Old E-Commerce Expert

Recently I had the chance to sit down and chat with Sam Jacobs who is the CEO of Uprise Education and the owner of multiple online e-commerce stores. I discussed with him about how he was able to get to where he is at today. Here is what he had to say:

In your own words, what’s your story Sam? How did you get to where you are today?

Growing up, I always had that entrepreneur spirit. I was that kid selling candy bars in school, flipping things for a couple bucks here and there, but as I grew older, I knew I was destined for more.

I began to realize that the education system today is not where it’s supposed to be and I wasn’t going to let that slow me down. I thought to myself, what’s the reason why we are in school? Many would say it’s for an education, but the end goal is obviously an income.

Now for me, I disliked school, so I went out to seek something that I loved.
I came across this one thing called shopify dropshipping. In short, it’s where you can create your own website or online shop and sell things all around the world without having any inventory at all.

This sounded amazing to me and I knew I could make it work if I put my mind to it. Fast forward a year later, after lots of hard work, sweat and tears, I’m here today and I’ve done over $1.5 million in ecommerce revenue, and I am the CEO and founder of two companies and a mentor to thousands.

Now, here’s one thing I want to mention in this interview. The process wasn’t easy, nor did I think it was going to be easy, but either way, I told myself I won’t quit until I succeed. Remember to have the mindset when you go into anything in life that you won’t quit until you succeed, and you will never fail.

Success is like a roller coaster, you have good and bad days. Now here’s the trick… you want to see real success? Have the same mindset when you are down and when you are up… you’re gonna BREAKTHRU!

When you had those down moments what motivated you to get back up?

That’s a great question, here’s the answer I tell everyone and the amazing part is everyone can use it.

I want you to think about why you want success, and dig deep. Find your WHY.

Maybe it’s to buy your mom a nice house, pay her bills, get yourself the life you always dreamed of, power, girls or whatever it is, find it.

Next I want you to write your WHY on a piece of paper and hang it somewhere you can see it.

Now here’s where it gets awesome… when you’re about to quit tell yourself NO! If I quit now I will NEVER get that “WHY.”

I used this strategy to always keep myself motivated even when times got bad.

Jordin Roussell – Scaling a 7 Figure Real Estate Company

Recently, I was fortunate enough to sit down for an interview with Jordin Roussell. Jordin has scaled his Real Estate Company, Gulf South Home Buyers, to 7 Figures very quickly. I asked him how he got started, and for tactical advice for anyone looking to get into Real Estate Investing.

  • Hey Jordin, what do you do?

 


Jordin Roussell: I’m a real estate entrepreneur, I am the Founder of Gulf South Home Buyers. 

 

 

  • What made you become an entrepreneur?

 

 

Jordin Roussell: My first journey with entrepreneurship was actually network marketing. I was sold on the idea of having freedom, creating impacting, and getting to travel the world. The venture came to an end rather quickly, but those desires for freedom, impact, and travel never left me. After I dropped out of college, it took me a little time to pick myself up after some personal things took place in my life, but I knew with what I wanted out of life my options for obtaining the three things I desired were very limited which led me back into entrepreneurship. 

 

 

  • How did you get started investing in real estate?

 

 

Ravi Abuvala: It’s a funny story! I was 19, scrolling through Instagram and this guy I was following had just posted a video about this 18 year old kid, one of his students, making $25k with none of his own money and no credit. I was stunned, I did some more research and for the next 2 years consumed everything real estate I could. Just after my 21st birthday I was fed up with working a 9-5 and took the plunge, quit my job, and made the decision to go all in on real estate. 

 

 

  • How have you scaled your company?

 

 

Jordin Roussell: Other than the traditional ways of increasing marketing. I became genuinely obsessed with helping people out of their distressed situations and because I stopped focusing less on money and more on the people I could help. This quickly established me as a leading authority in real estate in my city.   

 

 

  • What advice would you give to someone looking to get started in Real Estate?

 

 

Jordin Roussell: There’s several ways to get started in real estate and make money, but the most important thing when getting started is to find one strategy. Whether it’s wholesaling, fix and flips, purchasing rentals, bond for deeds, or anything else, just go all in on the strategy until you can do it in your sleep, then transition into another strategy. Focusing on too many strategies at once is similar to shiny object syndrome in my opinion.

  • How do you find investors?

  • Meetups
  • One of the best ways to get investors and cash buyers is to obtain a list of properties that have been purchased for cash in your city. Filter the ones that have bought 2 or more because the chances of them being investors increases, and send them a post card explaining what you do with your contact info on it. 

 

 

  • Where do you see your company in the next 5 years?

 

 

Jordin Roussell: Operating in multiple states within multiple markets. Helping 1000’s of families per year close a chapter and start a new one.

What Gets Measured Gets Managed With Stephen Campolo

What’s your backstory?

 

I am a former fat kid turned fat loss and muscle building expert. I struggled with my weight for most of my childhood and early adult life. It wasn’t until high school that I got tired of feeling sick and tired with how I looked. So I decided to do something about it. Taking the first step of action towards bettering my health and image would start a sequence of events over the next few years that would ultimately change the direction of my life.

 

I became obsessed with seeing my body change week over week and I wanted to learn everything I could about the human anatomy and nutrition and weight training. My first job was working at Gold’s Gym where I was the cleaning boy, wiping down machines and cleaning bathrooms…but I didn’t care because I loved being in that atmosphere and talking to all of the personal trainers and bodybuilders, trying to soak up as much information as I could.

 

After graduating from college and getting my Bachelors degree I went to work in the corporate world. It was a typical 9-5 sitting in a cubicle. I did it for 2 years and was miserable every day. I knew that life wasn’t for me, but I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. During this time my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer so I knew I didn’t want to be away from her all day. My good friend was the head personal trainer at a prominent country club where I lived and asked me to come work with him. The hours were good and the pay wasn’t bad so I did it. During this time I was training some of the most powerful CEO’s in the country and some celebrities.

 

About a year after being diagnosed I watched my mom take her last breath. This was a turning point in my life. She was only 52 years old. I realized how fragile life was. And I knew I didn’t want to spend my life training people. I felt like I had a lot of knowledge to share about fat loss and fitness so I started sharing my thoughts and beliefs on social media. Little by little I started gaining traction and started to build a following. At first I just wanted to do it for fun because I truly loved helping people, but I started getting tons of messages asking if I had a program to buy or if I did any coaching. This led me to create my first fat loss program.

 

Momentum grew and shortly after launching my program I was able to leave my personal training job and do my online fitness business full time. In a very short amount of time I have helped thousands of people all of the world reach their fitness goals and my client transformations are some of the most impressive around.

 

Currently I am getting ready to do something no other fitness influencer has done before. I am doing a 12-week transformation challenge in which the winner will win a brand new car. I know the hardest part about getting started is lack of motivation so if people know they can possibly win a car, then that motivation will get them to the finish line.

 

What made you decide to choose this career path?

 

Having taken control of my health and life I knew I could share my own knowledge and beliefs with others that would greatly impact their life. For me it isn’t a career, it’s a calling.

 

Can you share a story about the funniest mistake you made when you were first starting? Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that?

 

Looking back over the past few years I laugh because I truly had no idea what I was doing. I had no structured plan or idea. It was just simply me being me and sharing knowledge that I though could help others get healthier and fitter. I think sometimes being naïve and isolated can be beneficial in a sense because you are almost too dumb to believe you can’t do something, I just simply believed I was meant to help others and no one could tell me different. When you are firm in your beliefs, nothing and no one can get you off your path.

 

What do you think makes your company/personal brand stand out?

 

My story. I am not a genetically gifted fitness model who was born with abs and big muscles. I’ve had to work hard and overcome my own flaws and setbacks to get where I am. Sharing my personal story and vulnerabilities with my audience has allowed me to connect on a very deep and intimate level with people. People appreciate that, especially in a world full of fakes and pretenders.

 

What’s a quote that you live by?

 

What gets measured gets managed.”  This goes for your nutrition, workouts, business, relationships, spirituality. You have to know where you are in order to make adjustments to better improve things in your life.

This engine gave him the power to leave his 9 to 5 job where he was making a meager $9,000 a year, to pursuing a career where he could make thousands of dollars a month! “When I was able to walk away from my job making $9,000 a year, I knew that entrepreneurship was right for me.

I realized after three months of training that I wanted to pursue [this opportunity]. I was able to open my second Forex trading company called Technical Prosperity where I can help others succeed in the Forex trading marketplace.” He also mentioned how his self-taught trial-and-error approach has gained him an edge in the industry. He says, “I’m self-taught as a trader, I didn’t have a mentor for guidance. I learned through trial and error.” He believes that his approach offers a valuable prospective to anyone who’s interested in Forex trading, and he claims that his strategies has helped newcomers “touch the charts” and become successful in currency trading.

Since 2014, Gilpin has been committed to climbing the charts in his chosen industry and he believes that his decision to drop out of college hasn’t hindered him from creating a rewarding life, in fact, his decision to drop out of college is what pushed him to seek financial independence, entrepreneurship, and wealth. “As a college dropout, entrepreneurship caught my attention as a way to make more income.”

To be able to do what I do, you need to build the skill and it will take time. “
