The Young Tailor Traveling The World : Aristide Tofani

Aristide Tofani is the third generation tailor at Sartoria Tofani.

Since 1954, the Tofani tailor’s shop has been a place of worship for lovers of good aesthetic taste. The maniacal passion for making garments is transmitted, from an early age, to every member of the family and every customer. So much to fascinate Suzi Menkes, one of the most influential fashion reporters, who has included the solid “family shop” in the list of the most important Neapolitan tailors.

Aristide started to learn tailoring from his father and grandfather when he was only 12 and now works as a full time Tailor and Manager for his family business.

During the last 5 year , Aristide shared his handmade works and suits on Instagram and he was able to build an huge network of fans and followers who simply love the quality of his handmade suits.

At the moment he hosts 4 shows a year in New York, Hong Kong, Paris and Zurich and he plans to increase the number of cities every year.

Aristide what drove you to approach the tailoring world?

I’ve always been attracted to the bespoke tailoring world, I have always been attracted by the world of custom tailoring, I think ours is a wonderful art that, if done with love and dedication, can lead to great success and personal satisfaction.

And what about your Fashion Shows around the World?

Honestly I love to travel around the world to reach our clients.
I’m eager to start hosting Trunk Shows in many new cities around the world, at the moment i’m working on expanding our business in Asia because we have many requests from there, so Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo might see Sartoria Tofani trunk shows soon.

What are your plans for the future?

I will dedicate myself entirely to work, to knowledge, to increase my skills in the field of Neapolitan Tailoring. Trying to do better and better for our customers and for all the people who follow us and esteem us for many years.

Don’t forget to follow Aristide on Instagram
